Glada Yerkes

Hello.My name is Glada Yerkes. I am from Texas but since I married I have lived in ten different states and two foreign countries with my husband Frank and children, Sam (21), Randy (20), and Kaylyn (18). I graduated from Texas Tech University in 1980 and received my Masters Degree in 1983. I have a Reading Specialist Certification from Illinois.This is my third year at St. Rose Elementary!  I love teaching here.   I have taught Title I Reading, third, fourth, seventh, and eighth grade classes in other states. I was once the Assistant Director of a Reading Clinic.

I enjoy reading and sharing that love with others. There are so many wonderful books and fun activities that can be experienced through reading. I hope to be involved in many creative and unique adventures this year with my students.  It is my desire that they love to read as much as I do.

My name is Paula Munie and I am the Title I aide for reading and math.  I received my bachelors degree  in elementary education from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. 

My family and I have lived in St. Rose for the past nine years.  I have a husband, Mike, and two children, Mackenzie and Ryan.  Mackenzie and Ryan are both St. Rose students.  We also have two dogs, Daisy and Sally, a fish named Bob, and a hamster named Oreo. 

I am the PTO Vice President and enjoy helping to plan the Halloween party and field day.   I enjoy listening to music, reading, seeing musicals, and scrapbooking in my spare time.
