PreK-8 Parents:

We are excited to spend some time with you on Wednesday, October 28th & Thursday, October 29th to discuss your child’s progress this year and share some examples of their work and assessments they have completed to start the school year.

Parents & Guardians of students in PreK will engage in discussion with Mrs. Cook to review their child’s progress, work samples, and how your child is adapting to school life, both socially and emotionally. In an attempt to streamline the process, you will be able to sign up for a conference that best fits your schedule.

Parents of Kdg-4th Grade Students:

Parents & Guardians of students in grades K-4 will have the experience of a traditional parent-teacher conference in which your child’s teacher will review work samples, testing results, and how your child is adapting to school life, both socially and emotionally. Parents of 5-8th Grade Students (Student Must Be In Attendance):

Parents & Guardians of students in grades 5-8 will host a learner-led conference. Your child has been working hard in their Advisory Class to assemble a digital portfolio that they will be sharing with you as they lead you through their academic strengths and where there is room for improvement.

***The purpose of a Learner Led Conference is to put students in the driver's seat as they begin to conceptualize what they do well and where they need support or need to work harder so they have the ability to communicate that with you as parents. This, in turn, will help guide their decisions as they transition from St. Rose School to high school.

Please note, you will be signing up with your child’s Advisory Teacher who will facilitate the Learner-Led Conference and share testing information with you. Should you feel the need to connect with other middle school teachers, please contact them via email or by phone to schedule a separate appointment after conference dates are complete.

We are excited to announce an update to our school lunch program beginning October 1!

Starting next month, students will have more choices at lunch each day. We will be offering two different daily entrée options.

How to read the lunch menu:

Underlined Items: These represent the two daily entrée options available for students to select from. The first underlined item(s) will be considered Lunch A, while the second underlined item(s) will be considered Lunch B. Students will select Lunch A or Lunch B when their teacher takes lunch count in the morning. When lunch time comes, we will have them line up according to which option they chose.

Regular (Not Underlined) Items: These are daily sides, fruits, vegetables, or standard daily offerings that will be served alongside whichever entrée option your child chooses.

Please note, chef salads will not be a daily alternative to the entree as it has been in the past.

Dear Families,

As we work to keep our dismissal process smooth and secure, we wanted to remind caregivers of the end-of-day pick-up routine. Please review the updated guidelines below to help us ensure every child gets home safely.

Student Pick UP: Cafeteria Pick-Up Required

- Please come inside to the cafeteria to collect your child(ren) rather than waiting in the hallway.

Hallway congestion currently makes it difficult for teachers to monitor students. Moving pick-up to the cafeteria allows bus riders to clear the exit doors smoothly and gives staff a direct view to match caregivers with students safely.

- Parking Lot & Traffic Flow
We have serious safety concerns regarding cars cutting across the lot in front of the north exit doorway, creating a hazard for students walking to the bike racks and crossing to vehicles. Please follow these explicit exit routes:

Parked on the East Side of the Gym (playground side): Exit toward Church St. ONLY.

Parked Behind the Church: Exit via St. Rose Road ONLY.

Please Do NOT drive through the lot from one end to the other across the north exit doorway.

Inform All Authorized Pick-Ups
Please pass these instructions along to anyone else who may pick up your child, including grandparents, babysitters, or family friends.
