It's a great chance for students to try it out, or get into shape if they know they are joining the team. We will be meeting every Wednesday from 7:30-8:45 AM starting on Wednesday, June 25. Hope to see your runners there!

The purpose of Earth Day is to raise awareness of the need to protect Earth's natural resources. On Wednesday, the Middle School students celebrated Earth Day at St. Rose Park. Students participated in community service by spreading mulch, taking down temporary walls, wiping down equipment, and cleaning the pavilions. Students then enjoyed playing at the clean park and leaving positive chalk messages for walkers to enjoy. Thank you to Justin Detmer for helping us organize a fun way to help our community.

Today was the last time Kaskaskia College Cross Country team visited with the 6th grade class. The bonds the students formed with these individuals was incredible. It was a great way to encourage positivity, kindness, work ethic, organization, and determination. We thank KC for choosing us for their Adopt a Classroom program!

Our Tower Garden has grown so much since it started on March 7th! 8th grade manages the water levels & nutrients in the Tower Garden. Today we celebrated with a Salad and Salsa party as we harvested our first batch of lettuce and cilantro! Thanks to the parents for donating items that we needed for today! 🥗

We had 10 students participate in the Clinton County Junior High Music Festival. It kicked off with Sounds of Harmony barbershop group followed by the choir and band. Congratulations on a great performance!

The food drive was a huge success! With that said we are needing more boxes to pack up all of the items!! If you have boxes available, please bring them to school by Wednesday morning. Thank you!!

Congratulations to Lillian! She was a finalist for the Picture the Music competition by the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. 13,000 students from 70 schools participated, and Lillian was one of 100 finalists chosen.

8th grade took science to new heights as they built paper roller coasters! 🎢 Through loops, twists, and turns these projects brought kinetic and potential energy to life in a hands on experience. The students did a fantastic job!!

We are monitoring the weather and we will delay the release of students at the end of the day if it is no safe to send them on the bus. If you would like to pick up your child you may do so after 2:15. Middle school students are testing until 2:15.

Happy Paraprofessionals Day! We appreciate ALL you do for St. Rose School!
